Should you Charge your Phone in your Car?
Is it bad to charge your phone in your car? Well it could be. Imagine that you’ve got a bucket and you put the bucket in the sink and turn the water on. The bucket represents your battery. The water in the bucket represents how much power is in the battery, and the faucet pouring water into the bucket represents your alternator. There’s a certain rate that the power or water is going into the bucket.
If you plug a phone into your car, your phone is drawing more power out of your battery than your alternator can put into the battery, which will cause the battery to not fully charge and will make it not last as long. Here’s what you can do. You can get yourself one of these. This is a 5 watt charger. It will restrict the amount of power that your phone can draw, while still allowing your phone to charge causing your battery to last longer.
Can You Save Money Buying Premium Gas?
Can you save money buying premium gas? Well you know what premium gas is. It’s the gasoline that has the highest number on the gas pump and I talked about what those numbers mean in another video. So can you save money with premium? Well, not really. You’re going to get better acceleration. You’re going to get a cleaner engine inside, which will help your engine last longer, and you’re going to get a smoother ride. You’ll feel better about it. But if you buy cheaper gas you’re going to spend less money. You’re not going to get less gas mileage. You’re not going to get a whole lot more gas mileage with premium gas. So you can either have a smoother ride, a little better acceleration, or you can save money buying regular gas.
Do an Engine Replacement in Your Own Garage
My car died. The timing chain failed at 100,000 miles. I had just paid it off. I couldn’t afford to have it repaired at the shop, so I decided to replace the engine myself. First, I had to track down the official service manual, then a rebuilt engine, and had to find the time to do it when I wasn’t working or spending time with my family. I finished working on the car. It’s running now, but first I wasn’t sure if I could do it. But now I know that if you could change your own oil, you can learn to replace your engine. I made a course out of it. It’s 30 lessons, about an hour of instruction each.
